There are both clinical and home treatments available for screw piles or hemorrhoids. The clinical treatments will vary depending on the type of hemorrhoid, such as in internal hemorrhoids the treatment will be more invasive. Here are some of the treatments used clinically to treat internal hemorrhoids:
• Surgery is done when the hemorrhoid inside the anus is infected, swollen or inflamed. In such cases the hemorrhoid will cause extreme discomfort when passing stools. Infected hemorrhoid that indicates an abscess is the worst. A surgery is necessary in order to remove the hemorrhoid. Further treatment to prevent infection and improve the healing of the wound is done to the patient.
• Needle evacuation is done when the blood blister is located near the opening of the anus. This works for both internal and external hemorrhoid during the first few hours, when the blood still hasn’t clotted. Take note that for this treatment to work in internal hemorrhoids, the blister itself has to be accessible without the use of other devices.
• Fixative surgeries are done to milder cases of hemorrhoids. This procedure is also done prior to a surgery for a second-degree hemorrhoid.
